AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213
AND 238 OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE ARKANSAS
AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. C li 1 D,r ,J // f
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
Section 1. The zone classification of the following property be and
is hereby changed as indicated:
Begin at the railroad iron stake at the Northwest corner of the North-
east Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NE NE %) Section 31, Township
Three (3) North, Range Ten (10) West, thence South along Spencer Street
for 170 feet, thence East 259 feet to the point of beginning; thence South
124.4 feet to an iron pin on the North right -of -way line of Military
Road; thence Southwesterly 126 degrees, nineteen minutes along the Mili-
tary Road right -of -way for 116.3 feet; thence North 193 feet; thence East
94 feet to the point of beginning; and
Part of the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE/)
of Section Thirty -One (31), Township Three (3) North, Range Ten (10)
West, lying North and West of the old Military Road, and bounded on the
West by a dedicated street, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said tract where a dedicated
street and the old Military Road intersect, thence in a Northeasterly
direction along the old Military Road for a distance of 173.1 feet; thence
North for a distance of 193 feet, thence West for a distance of 140 feet to
a dedicated street, thence South along the East line of the dedicated
street for a distance of 295.5 feet, more or less, to the point of begin-
ning, all in the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas; and
Part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NE1 NE/)
Section 31, Township 3 North, Range 10 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
being North and West of old Military Road and more particularly described
as follows:

Starting at the Northeast corner of said NE4 NE' /; thence South
89 20' West 108.25 feet to the point of beginning, said point being the
intersection of the North R/W line of Old Military Road and the North line
of said NE'' /, NE' /; thence continuing S 8'9 20' West 970.91 feet to a point,
said point being North 89 20' East 259 feet from the Northwest corner of
said NE' /, NE /'; thence South 0 ° 22' East 276.28 feet to a point on the North
R/W line of Old Military Road; thence North 52 50' East along said R/W
line to the point of a curvature of a curve to the right having a radius of
971 .36 feet; thence North 67° 17' East along a chord of said curve 484.78
feet to the point of tangency; thence North 81° 44' East along said R/W
line 486.93 feet to the point of beginning, containing 1 .968 acres, more
or less. (Rezoned from R -1 to C -3); and
Begin at the railroad iron stake at the Northwest corner of the North-
east Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NE' /, NE' /) Section 31, Township Three
(3) North, Range Ten (10) West, thence South along Spencer Street for 170
feet, thence East for 100 feet to the point of beginning, thence North for
150 feet, thence East 159 feet, thence South 150 feet, thence West 159 feet
to the point of beginning, also known as Lots D & E, Spencer Estate, Pulaski
County, Arkansas. (Rezoned from R -1 to R -3).
Section 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of the Ordinance
No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance
No. 238, and designated official zoning map, should be and hereby is
amended to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate
the changes provided for in Section 1 thereof.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
Section 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate pre-
servation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens
of the City of Jacksonville, .Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared

to exist and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately
after its passage.
