A RESOLUTION APPROVTNG AND GRAN771VG AL17HORI2ATION TO MAYOR
FLETCHER AND OTHER OFFICIALS FOR THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
DESCRIBED HEREIN (GENERAL LOCATION: 2000 BLOCK OF WEST MAIN, CASOT,
ARKANSAS); AND, FOR 0THER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the real property described below is owned and
maintained by the City through the Jacksonville Medical Center, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, after consideration and negotiation, it is hereby found that
it is in the best interests that the City/Center enter into an Agreement and
sell an outlying parcel of said property for construction conducive to the use
of the adjoining property of the Center's Cabot Medical Clinic.
NOW, THEREFORE, 6E iT RESOLVED 6Y THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OFJACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, TRA T.-
SECTION ONE.' The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, are hereby authorized to execute any and all
purchase documents for the real property described herein. The City Council
recognizes and agrees that doing so will, hopefully, benefit both the Medical
Center and the citizens who will utilize the businesses to be located thereon.
The Council hereby authorizes Mayor Fletcher, City Clerk Davitt, and
City Attorney Robert Bamburg to draft, execute, and complete the
appropriate documents required to approve the purchase and sale of the
property described below:
Part of the NEIA of Section 14, T -4-N, R -10-W, of Cabot, Lonoke County,
Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the NW Corner, NE'/4, Section 14, T -4-N, R -10-W; thence
S00007'02" W, 2031.54 Feet; thence S74138'35" E, 1385.74 Feet; thence
N00010'41" W, 1553.54 Feet; thence S71055'57" E, 1.55.05 Feet to the Point
of Beginning; thence N18004'59"E, 303.42 Feet to the Southerly Right of
Way of Arkansas State Highway 89; thence along said Right of Way
S71057'45" E, 149.03 Feet; thence leaving said Right of Way S11014'34" W,
311.81 Feet; thence N73140'1.2" W, 92.09 Feet; thence N5711.1'51"W, 94.41.
Feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 1.188 acres, more or less.

SECTION TWO: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts
necessary to expedite the Ingress/Egress Easement of the above stated
parcel as outlined above and as required by the parties' agreed terms.

SECTION THREE: This Resolution, being necessary for the
betterment of the public utility and in the continuing purpose of protecting
the public's health and safety, shall be in effect from and after its date of
adoption.
SECTION FOUR: Any other Resolutions in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in
effect from and after its date of passage.
