0373 ORDINANCE NO. 3 7(3
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND CREATING BOUNDARIES FOR THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A FIRE DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, PRESCRIBING OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas
previously adopted a Fire Code governing conditions hazardous to life and
property; and
W H ER EA S , the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas
deems it necessary to create a fire district to better control fire conditions
hazardous to life and property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS,
that:
Section 1. There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, Chapter 8.12, Fire Prevention Code, which is to
read as follows.
Section 2. Section 18.12.100 - Fire Districts. There is hereby es-
tablished a fire district, with classifications and boundaries as set forth
in the map attached hereto, marked "Map Exhibit No. 1 ", and made a part
hereof as though specifically described by metes and bounds.
Section 3. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of the City
of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after its passage.
