ORDINANCE NO. .95
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE TO
PROVIDE SPACE TO THE STATE EMPLOYMENT SECURITY DIVISION
FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, there is a need to locate a branch office of the Employ-
ment Security Division within the City and the State government has agreed
to locate an office in the City of Jacksonville for a period of one year, sub-
ject to the condition that free space be provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1 . An expenditure of $125.00 per month for a period of
twelve months is hereby authorized and approved and the Mayor of the City
of Jacksonville is hereby empowered to enter into a lease arrangement at
said rental rate with T & N Company on office space located in the Nixon
Building, said office space to be provided to the State Employment Security
Division for a period of one year.
SECTION 2. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens
of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after
its passage.
