0669 00003': RESOLUTION NO. 669 ( #15 - 2011) A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING AND SUPPORTING THE LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE'S 19 AND 314 AIRLIFT WINGS FOR THEIR RECENT RODEO 2011 AWARDS; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, Colonel Mike Minihan, 19 AW Commander, together with the men and women of the 19 Airlift Wing, and Colonel Mark Czelusta, 314 AW Commander, together with the men and women of the 314 Airlift Wing, recently competed in Airlift Mobility RODEO 2011 at Lewis - McCord Joint Base in Tacoma, Washington. RODEO is a readiness competition focusing on improving worldwide air mobility wartime core abilities, and teams from all over the world competed in various RODEO events. As a result, Little Rock Air Force Base's 314 Airlift Wing and 19 Airlift Wing bested all competitors and brought home several awards from the competition. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT: SECTION ONE :: Colonel Czelusta and the men and women of the 314 Airlift Wing are to be applauded for their dedication, efforts, expertise, and skills in winning RODEO 2011 Awards for Best Air Mobility Wing, Best Airdrop Wing, the Maintenance Skills Competition Award Overall Winner for C130s, for Best Overall Maintenance Team, Best Team Overall (Maintenance and Operations), Best Overall Aircrew Team, and Best Overall Airdrop for C130Es, and in their representation of the Little Rock Air Force Base. Colonel Minihan and the men and women of the 19 Airlift Wing are also to be applauded for their dedication, efforts, expertise, and skills in winning the RODEO 2011 Award for Best C -130 Airdrop Aircrew. As always, LRAFB's 314 and 19 Airlift Wings secured the attention and respect of other military leaders and squadrons worldwide. Colonels Minihan and Czelusta and the men and women of the 19 and 314"' Airlift Wings should be extremely proud of their accomplishments, their expertise, and their representation of the Little Rock Air Force Base, the City of Jacksonville, the State of Arkansas, and the United States Air Force. Members of RODEO 2011 19 and 314 Airlift Wings Teams from Little Rock Air Force Base should forever remember being a part of their Championship Teams and know that the citizens of Jacksonville support and deeply appreciate not only Teams' efforts in support of national defense but also their role, however large or small, in being a part of the best of the best in Air Mobility Readiness. SECTION TWO: The Jacksonville City Council lends its encouragement and continued support of the men and women of the Little Rock Air Force Base, recognizing the interactive relationship between the citizens of Jacksonville and our military neighbors.
