AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213 AND
238 OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain property owners have duly filed petitions for the
rezoning of their properties; public notices have been duly run in the Jackson-
ville News, a newspaper having authority to publish notice; public hearings
have been held pursuant to public notices and at the time and place set there-
for; that the Planning Commission has considered each request and has made
the recommendation that the zone classification be changed as hereinafter in-
dicated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. The zone reclassification of the following property be
and is hereby changed as indicated:
Part of the South 1/2 of Section 24, Township 3 North, Range 11 West,
Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as
follows:
Starting at the center of said Section 24; thence South 87 degrees 01'
20" West 253.21 feet to a point on the center line of the industrial park rail-
road spur track: thence South 10 degrees 31' 40" East along the center line
of said spur track 417 feet; thence North 79 degrees 28' 20" East 250 feet;
thence South 10 degrees 31'. 40" East 185.21 feet; thence South 19 degrees
49' 20" East 1309.56 feet; thence South 76 degrees 59' 12" East 149.71 feet;
thence South 01 degrees 29'40" West 586.28 feet to a point on the North RW
line of West Main Street; thence South 88 degrees 26' 20" East along said
RW line 50 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing South 88 degrees
26' 20" East along said RW line 307.78 feet; thence North 01 degrees 29'
40" East 446.14 feet; thence North 83 degrees 17' 20" West 85 feet, more
or less to the center of Rocky Branch; thence northerly along the center of
said Rocky Branch 382 feet, more or less; thence South 70 degrees 10' 40"

feet; thence South 01 degrees 29' 40" West 662.35 feet to the point of begin-
ning; containing 4.75 acres, more or less. Rezoned from Class M -2 to
Class C -2.

feet; thence South 01 degrees 29' 40" West 586.28 feet to a point on the North
RW line of West Main Street; thence South 88 26' 20" East along said RW
line 50 feet; thence North 01 degrees 29' 40" East 662.35 feet; thence North
19 degrees 49' 20" West 89.40 feet; thence North 70 degrees 10' 40" East
218 feet, more or less to the center of Rock Branch; thence Northerly along
the center of said Rocky Branch 1740 feet more or less to a point on the North
line of said South 1/2 Section 24; thence ; thence North 88 degrees 43' 10"
West along the North line of said South 1/2 Section 24 a distance of 552.21
feet to the point of beginning, containing 20 acres, more or less. Rezoned
from Class M -2 to Class R -3.
SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of the Ordinance
No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance
No. 238, and designated official zoning map, should be and it is hereby
amended to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate
the changes provided for in Section 1 thereof.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.

SECTION 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens
of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after
its passage.
