AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANS4 S; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213 AND
238 OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain property owners have duly filed petitions for the
rezoning of their properties; public notice has been duly run in the Jackson-
ville News, a newspaper having authority to publish notice; public hearings
have been held pursuant to public notices and at the time and place set there-
for; that the Planning Commission has considered each request and has made
the recommendation that the zone classification be changed as hereinafter in-
dicated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. The zone reclassification of the following property be
and is hereby changed as indicated:
All that part of the South 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of Section 20, T -3 -N,
R -10-W, lying West of the Missouri Pacific Railroad in Pulaski County,
Arkansas, except the following described tract:
Beginning at the intersection of the westerly R/W line of the Missouri
Pacific Railroad and the North line of said South 1/2 NE 1/4; thence south-
westerly along said R. R. R/W 833 feet, more or less to its intersection
with a drainage ditch; thence northwesterly along said drainage ditch 895 feet,
more or less to a point on the North line of the South 1/2 of said NE 1/4,
thence easterly along the North line of said South 1/2 NE 1/4 1,350 feet,
more or less to the point of beginning. (Bruce Hardcastle property). Re-
zoned from Class R -1 to Class R -3.
AND
Part of the South 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of Section 20, T -3 -N, R -10-W,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the westerly: R/W line of the Missouri
Pacific Railroad and the North line of said South 1/2 NE 1/4; thence south-
westerly along said R. R. R/W 833 feet, more or less to its intersection

with a drainage ditch; thence northwesterly along said drainage ditch 895
feet, more or less to a point on the North line of the South 1/2 of said NE
1/4, thence easterly along the North line of said South 1/2 NE 1/4 1 ,360
feet, more or less to the point of beginning, containing 8.3 acres, more or
less. (Bruce Hardcastle Property). Rezoned from Class R -1 to Class R -4.
SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of the Ordinance
No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance No.
238, and designated official zoning map, should be and it is hereby amended
to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the changes
provided for in Section 1 thereof.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate pre-
servation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of
the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after its pass-
age.
