AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 189 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. Section 5 of Ordinance No. 189 is hereby amended
to reflect that the following days, and none other, are hereby declared to be
legal holidays:
New Year's Day, January 1;
Robert E. Lee's Birthday, January 19;
George Washington's Birthday, the third Monday in February;
Memorial Day, the last Monday in May;
Independence Day, July 4; In 1� #1I ± 1

Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday and Friday n November; and -

SECTION onance is necessary to insure the peace, health
and safety, therefore, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
