AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN UNNAMED STREET
LYING WHOLLY WITHIN THE NW4 OF THE NW4 OF SECTION 25, TOWN-
SHIP 3 NORTH, RANGE 11 WEST, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES.
W H ER EA S , the City Planning Commission of the City of Jackson-
ville, Arkansas, has determined that a need exists to close and abandon a
part of an unnamed street located wholly within part of the NW'4 of the NW4
of Section 25, Township 3 North, Range 11 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
more particularly described as follows: Starting at the Southwest corner of
said NW'% NVV' %; thence North 3 degrees 20 minutes East 655.25 feet to the
point of beginning, said point being on the Northerly Right -of -Way line of a
public road; thence South 71 degrees 34 minutes East along said Right -of-
Way line, 1,106.74 feet to the intersection of the Northerly Right -of -Way
line of said public road and the Westerly Right -of -Way line of Redmond
Road; thence North 5 degrees 02 minutes West 100.0 feet to a point on the
Westerly Right -of -Way line of Redmond Road; thence North 7 degrees 12
minutes East 100.0 feet to a point on the Westerly Right -of -Way line of said
Redmond Road; thence North 23 degrees 42 minutes East 100.0 feet to a
point on the Westerly Right -of -Way line of said Redmond Road; thence North
32 degrees 56 minutes East 100.0 feet to a point on the Westerly Right-of-
Way line of said Redmond Road; thence North 45 degrees 52 minutes East
26.27 feet to a point on the Westerly Right -of -Way line of said Redmond
Road; thence South 83 degrees 27 minutes West 653.96 feet; thence North 77
degrees 39 minutes West 524.89 feet to a point on the West line of said N"M(
NW' %; thence South 3 degrees 20 minutes West 80.52 feet to the point of be-
ginning, containing 4.689 acres, more or less, and being found within the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas;
WH E REA S , this matter was submitted to the City Council of
Jacksonville, Arkansas and a hearing date set for March 7, 1974, and
that a public notice thereof was duly published, as required by law, in the
Jacksonville Daily News, a bona -fide newspaper having general circulation

in the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas;
W H ERE A S , there was no hearing objection by any resident or
citizen of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas to the closing and abandoning
of said street, which is dedicated but not used as a street; and
WHEREAS, all adjoining property owners have in fact consented
to the closing of this unnamed street in the City of Jacksonville, Pulaski
County, Arkansas as aforesaid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. That unnamed street located wholly within part of the
NW/ of the NW/ of Section 25, Township 3 North, Range 11 West, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Starting at the
Southwest corner of said NW/ NW` /e; thence North 3 degrees 20 minutes
East 655.25 feet to the point of beginning; said poing being on the Northerly
Right -of -Way line of a public road; thence South 71 degrees 34 minutes East
along said Right -of -Way line, 1 ,106.74 feet to the intersection of the North-
erly Right -of -Way line of said public road and the Westerly Right -of -Way
line of Redmond Road; thence North 5 degrees 02 minutes West 100.0 feet
to a point on the Westerly Right -of -Way line of Redmond Road; thence North
7 degrees 12 minutes East 100.0 feet to a point on the Westerly Right -of -Way
line of said Redmond Road; thence North 23 degrees 42 minutes East 100.0
feet to a point on the Westerly Right -of -Way line of said Redmond Road;
thence North 32 degrees 56 minutes East 100.0 feet to a point on the Westerly
Right -of -Way line of said Redmond Road; thence North 45 degrees 52 minutes
East 26.27 feet to a point on the Westerly Right -of -Way line of said Redmond
Road; thence South 83 degrees 27 minutes West 653.96 feet; thence North 77
degrees 39 minutes West 524.89 feet to a point on the West line of said NW/
NW' /n; thence South 3 degrees 20 minutes West 80.52 feet to the point of begin-
ning, containing 4.689 acres, more or less, and being found within the City

of Jacksonville, Arkansas, should be and hereby is closed and abandoned
under the powers granted to the cities of the first class in the State of
Arkansas.
SECTION 2. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens
of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after
its passage.
