ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213 AND 238
OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain property owners have duly filed petitions for the re-
zoning of their properties; public notice has been duly run in the Jacksonville
News, a newspaper having authority to publish notice; public hearings have been
held pursuant to public notices and at the time and place set therefor; that the
Planning Commission has considered each request and has made the recommenda-
tion that the zone classification be changed as hereinafter indicated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, That:
SECTION 1. That the zone reclassification of the following property
be and is hereby changed as indicated:
Part of the W/ of the NEU of Section 19, Township 3 North, Range 10
West, in the City of Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly
described as follows: Beginning at a point 990.0 feet North of the SE corner of
said W NEki, thence South 89 50' West 385.0 feet; thence North 0 23' West
194.6 feet to a point on the Easterly right of way line of new U. S. Highway No.
67; thence North 34 41' East along said right of way line 125.4 feet to a right
of way marker; thence North 34 52' East along said right of way line 543.6 feet
to a point on the East line of said V %, NE/; thence South 742.8 feet to the point
of beginning, containing 4.14 acres, more or less. (Known as St. Stephen's
Episcopal Church Property). Rezoned from Class R -1 to Class C -3.
SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of Ordinance
No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance No.
238, and designated official zoning map, should be and it is hereby amended to
the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the changes pro-
vided for in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.

SECTION 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of
the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after its passage.
