AMENDMENT #2 TO ORDINANCE #24.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1, PARAGRAPH 1, OF ORDINANCE #24, AN
ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING A LICENSE YES FOR DOGS
WITHIN THE CITY OI +' JACK&ONI/flE; VOIDING AN ANNUAL IICENSE FEE OF
ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) AND S.ETFING AN ANNUAL LICENSE FEE OF 7WD AND
50/100 ($2.50) DOLLARS PER DOG AND PROVIDING A FEE OF ONE AND 25/100
($1.25) DOLLARS FOR LICENSE PURCHASED AFTER JULY 1; AND FOR OTHEII
PURPOSES.
DE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TOE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
THAT Section 1, Paragraph 1, of Ordinance #2.r be amended and the
following added to, and become paragraph 1 of Section 1.
Section 1. A license foe of Two and 50 /100 ($2.50)
Dollars per year shall, be paid by the owner or
keeper of each and every dog kept within the City
of Jacksonville, Arkansas, after proof of vaccination
is presented; provide that each license or tax shaft
=pin within the claendar year.; and further provided
for each dog brought into the city after July 1st,
the owner, or keeper may pay One Dollar and Twenty -five
Cents ($1.25) for the .remainder of the calender, year;
and it shall be unlawful for any person to keep a dog
within the corporate limits of tho City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas without payment of such license or tax.
This amendment being necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public health, safety and peace, an emergency is declared to exist,
and this amendment shall be in .full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
