AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 150, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
TO EXIST, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the preservation of the public
health, safety and morals of the citizens of the City of Jackson-
ville, Arkansas, that all areas within the said city be free of
garbage and rubbish.; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that rates be adjusted to provide
necessary city service to this end; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 150 adopted certain rates which
are this time inequitable in light of additional costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. That Section 2, Paragraph A, Schedule of Rates
1., 2., and 3., be and the same are hereby amended to read as
follows:
"1. One and 50/100 (0.50) Dollars for each single
family residence.
"2. One and 50/100 ($1.50) Dollars for each trailer
space.
"3. One and 50/100 (:1.50) Dollars for each resi-
dential unit of each duplex and of each apart-
ment building."
That all other sections and parts of the said Ordinance Number
150 are hereby ratified and confirmed as originally adopted.
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health, safety, welfare
and morals of the ettizens of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and the above quoted
rates should go into full force and effect on the.lst day of
January, 1967.
