ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, OF CERTAIN LANDS LOCATED IN
SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 3 NORTH, RANGE 10 WEST, IN PULASKI
COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
entered its order on February 2, 1966, upon the Petition of
certain persons owning all property affected, after due
notice of hearing of said Petition for the time and in the
manner preseribed by law, ordering the annexation to the
City of Jacksonville, those certain lands hereinafter described
and contiguous to the present limits of the City of Jacksonville,
and
WHEREAS, more than 30 days have elapsed since the entry
of said Order of the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
and no person, firm or corporation has instituted any proceeding
in the Circuit Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, or elsewhere,
to prevent such annexation, and no protestants have appeared
and no notice given to the authorities of the City of Jackson-
ville, Arkansas, of any attempt to vacate, review, set aside
or appeal from the said Order of the County Court; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas, after hearing evidence from the owners of the said
property and having description checked by theCity Engineer,
finds and determines that the original description differed
from the intent of the parties in minor details and that the
same has been hereby corrected in the City Redords by this
Ordinance; and has been assured by the owners of said property
that the Order Confirming the said Annexation will be either
amended or entered nunc pro tune correcting original Order
of the County Court to conform to the description of this
Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS: . THAT
SECTION 1. That the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
acting through its City Council, does hereby approve and accept
for annexation and does hereby make a part of the incorporated
area of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, the following
described real proprty, to --wit:

A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest
QUARTER (SWI„NW *) and a part of the NORTHWEST
Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (NW *,SW *) of
Section 28, Township 3 North, Range 10 West,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly
described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the existing Eastern
City Limits of Jacksonville, Arkansas,satd
point being 35 feet South and 330 feet East
of the Northwest corner of the SW* of the
NW* of Section 28, Township 3 North, Range 10
West; thence go South 1315.5 feet more or less,
to the North line of the NW* of the SW* of
Section 28, Township 3 North, Range 10 West;
thence West 140 feet, more or less; thence
South 1340.6 feet more or less, to a point on
the South line of the NW* of the SW* of
Section 28, Township 3 North, Range-10 West;
thence East along the South line of said NW*
of the SW* of Section 28, Township 3 North,. , /1
Range 10 West 854.45 feet more or less, to b/
the West right -of -way line of Loop Road.+2642.53
feet more or less, to a point on the South
right -of -way line of Neely Street; thence West
718.4 feet more or less, along the South
right -of -way line of Neely Street to the point
of beginning.
SECTION 2. That it is further ordained that the
said lands be and they are hereby assigned and attached to
and made a part of the C. Ward of the said City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas.
