BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TAE CITY OF JACKSONYILLB, ARKANSASs
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any owner, or owners. of lute or other real property within the corporate
limits of tho City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, to allow weeds to remain uncut on lots or other real property or
to allow garbage, rubbish and other unsightly and unsanitary articles and things upon said property, or to
allow stagnant pools ar water or any other unsanitary thing, place or condition whloh might boom harmful to
the health of the eormnunity to be upon said lots or real property.
SECTION 2. If owner of any lots or other real property within 150 feet of any improved road within the City
of Jacksonville, Arkansas, shall neglect or refuse to remove, abate or eliminate any such conditions or oan-
dition as may bo provided for under this ordinance, after having been give twenty days notice in writing to
do so, then said pity is authorised to do whatever is necessary to c orredt said condition and to charge the
cost thereof to the owner or owners of said lots or other real property said city is hereby given a lieu
against such property for such costs.
SECTION 3. Incase the owner of any lot or other real property is unknown or his whereabouts io net known or
is a non - resident of this State, then a oopy of the written notice here inabovo referred to, shell bo posted
upon the premises and borers an action to enforoe ouch lien shall be had, the reaordor of the city or the
city olork ahall sake an affidavit setting out the foots as to tho unknown addreno or whereabouts of non-
residents, and thereupon service by publication as now provhfed for by law against non - residents defendants,
may be lied and an attorney ad lltem, shell be appointed to notify the defendant by registered letter to hie
last known plaoe of residence if save can be found.
SECTION 1 The lien herein provided for may ,be enforced at any tine within 18 months after work has been

SECTION 5. Thio ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full .
force and effect immediately from and after its passage, approval and publication.
