0080 ORDINANCE NO. 80
AN ORDINANCE SUBMITTING TO THE VOTERS OF THE CITY
OF JACFSONIIITI? ARKANSAS THES QUESTION OF ANNEXATION
TO SAID CITY CERTAIN CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY.
WHEREAS, it appears to the Council of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas, that the following described property is completely surrounded by
property that is already within the City Limits of the City of Jacksonville,
and it is absolutely necessary and essential that this property be in-
cluded within the City limits of the City of Jacksonville, for further
planning and construction of public works, streets, water and sewer
facilities, and for the expansion, growth and development of said City,
therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ABXANSAS:
SECTION 1. That there shall be submitted to the legal voters
of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, to be voted upon at the Municipal
General Election in said City to be held November 6, 1956, the question of
the annexation of certain herein described territory contiguous to said
City and within the same County; and that the officials of the City of
Jacksonville take all other steps necessary to complete the annexation;
said territory to be annexed is described as follows:
That part of the E4 of the SW* and the SE* of Section 20, Township 3
North, Range 10 blest Pulaski County, Arkansas lying N and W of the
Missouri Pacific Railroad right -of -way containing 33 acres, and the
NW* of Section 20, Township 3 North, Range 10 West, except 7 acres
out of the NWq of the same, used as a cemetery, containing 155 acres,
more or less.
SECTION 2. The ballots used at said election on the question of
annexation shall be marked as follows:
"For Annexation of territory proposed bg Ordinance No. 80."
"Against Annexation of territory proposed by Ordinance No. 80."
