OF JACKSONVILLE TO DESIGNATE ROUTES TO DE USED BY IARGE TRUCKS ENTERING, 12AV1110 OR PASSING THROUGH THE CITY OF JACASONVILIE, MAKING VI01AfIONS OF SUCH ROOTING A MISDEMEAtuOt. PRO - VIDIEU PENALTIES THEREFOR AND ROM OTHER PURPOSES. BE rr ENACTED HY TRH CITY COUNCIL OF JACgssONVILLE, 1. It is hereby nude the duty of the Marshal of the City of Jacksonville, within his best judgment and as he oonsidera it to be for the beet interest of the city and citizen thereof, to designate and mark with easily visible signs a route or routes over the streets of the city to be followed by trucks with a rated capacity In excess of t (one half) ton which are entering, leaving or passing through the City of Jacksonville• 2. A11 trucks with a rated capacity in excess of i (one -half) ton shall follow this designated route or routes as they enter, leave or psos through the City of Jacksonville, save that any such truck with a lawful destination that cannot be reached by the use of mush routed may deviate therefrom for the purpose of reaching their destination and returning therefrom. 3. It shall be unlawful and a misdemeanor for any person, firm or corporation to violate the designated routings of the Marshal by driving; such a vehicle upon undosignated streets in violation hereof and every person, firm or corporation shall, upon oowiction, be fined any sum not exceeding $25.00 (twenty -five dollars)• 1 1. It is necessary to the health and welfare of the citizens of the City of Jacksonville that an enwrgenoy be declared to exist and that this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
