0962 92~20534 ...... 5a ORDINANCE NO. 962 (#1-92) AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING STONE STREET IN THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, (GENERAL LOCATION: BETWEEN ELM STREET AND OAK STREET); AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSESM WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, has recommended closing and abandoning Stone Street which is located between Elm Street and Oak Street in the City of Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, held a public meeting on January 2, 1992, with notice duly published as required by law; and, WHEREAS, all adjoining property owners and Utility Companies consent to the closing of said street, subject to the condition that easement rights to said street property be reserved by those Utility Companies. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT: SECTION ON!': : follows: The real property, more fully described as Stone Street is that street looated between Elm Street and Oak Street in the Original Town of Jacksonville, also described as that property between the Hudson Annex to the City of Jacksonville and Block 2 of Galloway.s Addition to the City of Jacksonville~ Said property is hereby closed and vacated under the powers granted to cities of the first class in the State of Arkansas, subject to reservation of easement rights for Utility Companies. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with adjoining property owners of the street to close and abandon said street, with said real property reverting to those adjacent property owners..
