UTILITY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES'
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville Water DepartmF;rjt. provir-les
billing services to the Jacksonville Sani-l-atior, Department
and the Qlacksonviiie Wastewater Utility, charging a set fee
for said services; a.nd,
WHEREAS, through reduction of the rates charged for
sanitation, sewer, and water services by an amount equal -to
the billing charges, and an addition Gof a single line item
billing fee on statements, the change in oollejition method -
0109Y will not cause a change in the amount' charged each
cUstoMel- for said services anc, WILL ELM re -suit in a rate
increase.- and,
WHEREAS, the Chairpersons, of the Jacksonville Sewer
Commission and the Jacksonville W3ter Commissiori hereby
request the Jack.sonvil-1,7- City Counc°il modify existing
Ordinances to change 1 Sarticn methodology in accordance
with the terms of a ner Billing Agreement approved by
both Commissions in August 1982.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF

labor, utilities, and other items necessary for manage-
ment, of the Utility and for which such works were
designed and constructed, to include the special provi-

Municipal Code Section 13.IS.010.

divide the amount received by one minus Little Rook
Air Force Base's contribution percentage (expressed in
decimal fraction form) and remit 0e resulting aaount
to the Vater Department on the business day following
receipt of said funds and calculations.

sanitation needs of the community, an emergency is hereby
declared. This Ordinance shall take effect immedi--.ately upon
its passage and publication, as provided by a,nd subject to
applicable law.
