AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, (GENERAL LOCATION: A 1.7 ACRE TRACT
IN THE THOMPSON ESTATE ACROSS FROM THE JACKSONVILLE FUNERAL
HOME ADMINISTRATION BUILDING); AMENDING ORDINANCES NUMBERS
213 AND 238 OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AND, FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE. The zone classification of the following
property be and hereby is changed as indicated:
Part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of
Section 20, Township 3 North, Range 10 West,
Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a standard state aluminum survey
monument, previously a 2 inch pipe, set at the North
quarter corner of said Section 20, Township 3 North,
Range 10 West; thence North 89 degrees 59 minutes
22 seconds East along the North line thereof a dis-
tance of 1,326.17 feet to a 1/2 inch rebar; thence
continue along said North line, along the centerline
of J. p~ Wright Loop Road 100 feet right-of-way, North
89 degrees 05 minutes 52 seconds East 640.77 feet to a
5/8 inch rebar found at its intersection with the West
line of Beechwood Addition; thence along the West line
of said Beechwood Addition, South 17 degrees 48 minutes
44 seconds West 52.83 feet to a 1/2 inch rebar found on
the South right-of-way line of said road, the point of
beginning, being the Northeast corner of the herein
described tract of land; thence continuing along the
West line of said Beechwood Addition, South 17 degrees
48 minutes 44 seconds West 316.75 feet to the Southeast
corner of said tract; thence South 89 degrees 05 minutes
52 seconds West 198.37 feet to the Southwest corner of
said tract; thence North 00 degrees 54 minutes 08
seconds West 300.00 feet to a point on the South right-
of-way line of said road and being the Northwest corner
of said tract; thence along the said South right-of-way
line, North 89 degrees 05 minutes 52 seconds East 300.00
feet to the point of beginning, containing 74,756 square
feet or 1.7162 acres, more or less.
The above described property is hereby rezoned from R-l
to R-3. (General Location: A 1.7 acre tract in the Thompson
Estate across from the Jacksonville Funeral Home Administra-
tion Building.)
SECTION TWO. That the map referred to in Section 601 of
Ordinance No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as
amended by Ordinance No. 238, and designated official zoning
map, should be and hereby is amended to the extent and in the
respects necessary to effect and designate the changes pro-
vided for in Section One thereof.
SECTION THREE.
