0582 I()~ ORDINANCE NO. 582 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, OF CERTAIN LANDS IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. (CLOVERDALE ROAD AREA/SOUTH JACKSONVILLE). WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, on certain dates reflected upon the minutes of the County Court, upon the petitions of certain persons owning all of the property affected, after due notice of said hearings upon said petitions for the time and in the manner prescribed by law, ordering the annexation to the City of Jacksonville of those certain lands hereinafter described and continguous to the present limits of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT: Section 1: That the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, acting through its City Council, does hereby approve and accept for annexation and does hereby make a part of the incorporated area of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, the following described real property, to-wit: Part of the East ~ of the SE% and Part of the West ~ of the SE% of Section 36, T-3-N, R-II-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the NE corner of said Section 35, thence South 010 50' West along the East line of said Section 36 a distance of 1013.0 feet to a point in the center of the Missouri-Pacific Railroad R/W, said point being located 81.0 feet from the west abutment of the Missouri-Pacific Bridge No. 467; thence South 560 15' West along said centerline of Missouri-Pacific R/W a distance of 2494.2 feet; thence South 300 07' East 50.15 feet to the southerly line of said Railroad R/W; thence South 560 13' West:; 850.0 feet along said southerly R/W line to the point of beginning; thence South 380 45' East 1244.6 feet; thence South 490 42' West 340.0 feet; thence North 390 08' 35" West 1284.1 feet to the southerly R/W line of Missouri-Pacific Railroad; thence North 560 13' East along said southerly R/W line 350.0 feet to the point of beginning, containing 9.99 acres, more or less. 191 ORDINANCE NO. 5 8 2 Page 2 A portion of Section 36, Township 3 North, Range 11 West, described as follows: starting at the N.E. Corner of Section 36, Township 3 North, Range 11 West; thence along the E line of Section 36 on a bearing of S 10 50' W, a distance of 1,013.0 feet to a point in the center of the N Or W track of the Missouri-Pacific Railroad, which point is located 81.0 feet from the W abutment of Missouri-Pacific R.R. Bridge No. 467, measured on the same bearing as the R.R. track; thence turning an angle to the right of 540 23' with a bearing of S 560 13' W along said center line of the R.R. track a distance of 2,494.2 feet to a point; thence turning an angle to the left of 860 20' with a bearing of S 300 07' E a distance of 50.15 feet to a point of beginning on the S right of way of the R.R. From the point of beginning, fO~ll1erly known as the N. E. corner Lot No. 28, "Cloverdale Gardens" (unrecorded), continue on the bearing of a point fo~uLerly known as the S.E. corner Lot No. 28, "Cloverdale Gardens"; thence turning an angle to the right of 790 49' with a bearing of S 490 42' W, a distance of 671.8 feet to a point fOl.lllerly known as the W. corner Lot No. 29, "Cloverdale Gardens"; thence turning an angle to the right of 910 33' with a bearing of N 380 45' W, a distance of 1,244.6 feet to a point fo~ulerly known as the N. W. corner Lot No. 29, l1Cloverdale Gardens"; thence turning an angle to the right of 940 58' with a bearing of N 560 13' E, a distance of 850.0 feet to the point of beginning, said plot comprises some 21.0 acres, more or less. Section 2: That it is further ordained that the said lands be and they are hereby assigned and attached to and made a part of the Third Ward of the said City of Jacksonville, Arkansas. Section 3: That this ordinance being necessary for the iUllllediate preservation of the public heal th, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after its passage.
