ORDINANCE NO. 5 5 5
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING FIREWORKS IN THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
AMENDING ORDINANCES 208, AND 210, AND SECTION 8.16.010 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF JACKSONVILLE \ AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: Ordinances Numbers 208 and 210, and Section
8.16.010 of the Jacksonville Municipal Code are amended to read
as follows:
8.16.010
Sale or discharge prohibited - Exceptions.
No person, fi.LlH or corporation shall sell at retail or
wholesale within the city any squibs, firecrackers, fireworks or
the like. No person, fil.1H or corporation shall explode or
discharge within the city, except between the hours of 12:00 p.m.
and 10:00 p.m. on July 4 and December 31, any squibs, firecrackers,
fireworks or the like and possession of a broken package of any
of the foregoing is prima facie evidence that the possessor thereof
has been guilty of exploding or discharging the same; provided,
however, that it is not unlawful to sell caps for the use in cap
pistols or explode or discharge caps in cap pistols.
SECTION 2: All ordinances before mentioned are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
