ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE SETTING OUT THE DATE, TIME AND PLACE OF REGULAR
COUNCIL MEETINGS AND AMENDING THE CUT-OFF TIME FOR A MATTER
TO BE PRESENTED TO THE CITY CLERK FOR INCLUSION IN THE AGENDA
OF THE NEXT CITY COUNCIL MEETING; AMENDING ORDINANCES NUMBER
132 AND 321 AND CHAPTER 2.04; AND ADDING SECTION 2.04.040 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF JACKSONVILLE \ AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCEIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSON-
VILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:

of the Jacksonville Municipal Code are amended to read as

Meetings - Parliamentary Procedure
All meetings held on regular meeting nights and at any other
times shall be conducted pursuant to the rules and regulations
set forth in "Roberts' Rules of Order and Parliamentary Procedure."

2.04.020
Matters to be Ruled Upon - FOJ.uI
All matters to be ruled upon by the city council are ordered
to be prepared in a fOJ.Ill to be approved by the ci ty attorney and
presented to the city clerk not later than 5:00 o'clock p. m.
three days prior to the next regular meeting of the city council
or the same shall not be considered at that meeting. All matters
presented orally at any regular meeting of said council shall be
reduced to writing by the city clerk and presented for action to
be taken thereon at the next regular meeting of the city council.

Special Meetings
The mayor or any three alde.Lluen may call special meetings of
the city council by giving twenty-four hours' notice to all
alde.Lluen and the mayor, said notice to specify the time and
place of the meeting and the subject matter to be considered at
the special meeting. (Ord. 321 ~ 1, 1974.)

Regular Meetings
The regular council meetings will be held in the Jackson-
ville Police and Courts Building on the first and third Thursday
of each month, beginning with a pre-council conference in the
Conference Room at 7:00 p. m., followed by the regular city
council meeting 'in the Courtroom at 7:30 p. m.
SECTION 2. All ordinances before mentioned are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
