AN ORDINANCE ADJUSTING SANITATION FEES IN THE CITY OF JACKSON-
VILLE, AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 150 AND SECTION 8.20.020 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF JACKSONVILLE~ AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: Ordinance Number 150 and Section 8.20.020 of
the Jacksonville Municipal Code are amended to read as follows:
8.20.020 Regular collection--Fees.
All garbage and rubbish in the city shall be collected
regularly as set forth hereinafter by the employees of the city
sanitation department. For such services the water commission
of the city or its duly authorized representatives shall collect
the prescribed fees. The Monthly Rates shall be as follows and
shall apply in all cases of occupancy of one month or any part
thereof:
1. Three and 50/100 ($3.50) Dollar for each single
family residence.
2. Three and 50/100 ($3.50) Dollar for each trailer
space.
3. Three and 50/100 ($3.50) Dollar for each residen-
tial unit of each duplex and of each apartment
building.
4. Small business such as: Beauty Shops, Barber Shops,
Banks, Pet Shops, Auto Parts, Real Estate, Shoe
Repair, Dry Cleaners, Hobby Shops, T.V. Sales and
Service, Jewelry Shops, Doctors' Offices, Small Re-
pair Shops, etc. Base rate of $10.00 per month.
5. Buildings with more than one office will be charged
$10.00 per month per office.
6. Schools and Churches will be charged a base rate of
$10.00 per month.
7. Grocery stores will be charged by the square footage
of floor space.

4,000 to 8,000 ---------------------- 50.00
8,000 to 15,000 ---------------------- 75.00
15,000 to 20,000 ---------------------- 100.00
Above 20,000 -------------------------- 125.00
8. Doctors' Clinics and Retail Stores other than Grocery
will be charged by the square footage.
o to 4,000 ----------------------$ 10.00
4,000 to 8,000 ---------------------- 25.00
8,000 to 15,000 ---------------------- 35.00
15,000 to 20,000 ---------------------- 40.00
Above 20,000 -------------------------- 50.00
9. Food handling establishments that require a pickup
everyday will be charged a base rate of $25.00 plus
the square footage if it exceeds 4,000 sq. ft. as
stated in It~~ 7. of 8.20.020.
10. Motels with 50 rooms or less will be charged a base
rate of $25.00 per month.
11. Motels with over 50 rooms will be charged a base rate
of $50.00 per month.
12. Motels with over 50 rooms and food handling establish-
ments that require a pickup everyday will be charged a
base rate of SlOO.OO per month.

13. Laundromats will be charged a base rate of $25.00
per month.
14. Car sales with repair facilities will be charged a
base rate of $25.00 per month.
15. Car sales without repair facilities will be charged
a base rate of $10.00 per month.
16. Service stations and auto repair shops will be
charged a base rate of $15.00 per month.
17. Nursing homes with 20 rooms or less with 2 pickups
a week will be charged a base rate of $25.00 per
month.
18. Nursing homes with more than 20 rooms that require
a pickup everyday will be charged a base rate of
$75.00 per month.
SECTION 2. All ordinances before mentioned are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
