0576 000070 RESOLUTION NO 576 ( #4 - 04) A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE NATIONAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ESTABLISHED BY THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR ALL EMERGENCY RESPONSE BY ALL DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, has heretofore utilized an Incident Command System for response to all emergencies since 1990; and, WHEREAS, the United States Department of Homeland Security has adopted the National Incident Management System, and all federal emergency funding and grants are conditioned upon adoption of such a system by municipalities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT: SECTION ONE The City Council hereby adopts the National Incident Management System established by the United States Department of Homeland Security for all emergency responses by all departments and agencies of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas. The City Council further directs the Mayor and other City officials to modify, if necessary, and implement appropriate policies and procedures in order to adhere to and provide such an incident management system for the City of Jacksonville. SECTION TWO: Any and all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict.
