AN ORDINANCE ALLOWING DAY CARE FAMILY HOMES IN R-O, R-l, AND
R-2 DIST~ICTS WITHIN THE CITY AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER
213 AND CHAPTER 18.24 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, BY AMENDING SECTION 18.24.020, AND FOR OTHER PUR-
POSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 18.24.020 of the Municipal Code of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, is hereby amended to read as follows:
18.24.020 Permitted uses.
The permitted uses in the R-O and R-l districts are:
Single-family dwelling
Schools
Institutions of an educational or philanthropic
nature
Churches, religious organizations and religious
training
Public parks and recreation facilities
Public utilities rights-of-way
Day care family homes-provided the following
items are presented to
the Jacksonville Code
Enforcement Office.
1. Application and license by the State of Arkansas
Department of Human Services.
2. A petition filed with the Jacksonville Code
Enforcement Officer of all the adjacent residences
stating no objections. Said petitions to be
filed annually.
3. Copy of the Bill of Assurance of that subdivision.
4. Disclaimer signed by the applicants stating that
they are aware that annually they must file the
before mentioned petition of all adjacent residences.
And that failure to do such will prevent them
from operating a day care family home.
SECTION 2. All ordinances before mentioned are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
