AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING FOR THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS AN
EMPLOYEES PERSONNEL HANDBOOK, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, There has been confusion concerning the present
personnel rules and regulations for employees of the City of
Jacksonville, and
WHEREAS, The City of Jacksonville has published an updated
Employees Personnel Handbook clarifying the rules and regulations
concerning city personnel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, hereby
adopts the Employees Personnel Handbook as attached hereto, to
provide a summary of the rules and regulations governing city
personnel.
SECTION 2: That all ordinances and resolutions and parts
thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
SECTION 3: Whereas, the purpose of this Ordinance is to
eliminate the confusion surrounding personnel rules and regula-
tions, and as such, it is deemed to take effect immediately upon
passage in order to protect the public health, safety and
welfare.
