RESOLUTION NO. 656 ( #02 -11)
A RESOLUTION URGING SUPPORT OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTIES BORDERING THE NORTHERN BOUNDARIES OF
THE CITY LIMITS OF JACKSONVILLE (COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE HWY. 67
NORTH CORRIDOR ANNEXATION); AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain property owners and residents of real properties on the
Northern side of Jacksonville desire that their real properties be annexed into the city
limits of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas;
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, is the adjoining, adjacent, and
surrounding duly organized municipality within Pulaski County to said properties; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and a majority of certain real estate
owners of properties adjoining the Northern side of Jacksonville are in agreement that
annexation of certain re& properties located therein, as more particularly described
below, would be advantageous and beneficial to all parties concerned.
i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The City Council wholeheartedly urges support and approval of
the proposed annexation of the real property located on the Northern side of Jacksonville,
as shown on the attached map, identified as Attachment "A ", and as more particularly
described in Attachment "B ", both incorporated and made a part hereof.
SECTION TWO; The real properties, as more particularly described and as
shown on Attachments A & B, shall be annexed and accepted by the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas, which shall be inclusive of, but is not limited to, the following parcels:

SECTION THREE: The Mayor, City Clerk, and City Attorney are hereby

said annexation process.
SECTION FOUR: Upon approval of said annexation by the Pulaski County
Judge, F. G. (Buddy) Villines, the City Council hereby agrees to authorize, accept, and
approve the annexation of the above described properties by the City of Jacksonville.
