ORDINANCE NO. 725
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, OF CERTAIN LANDS
IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES (VARIOUS UNINCORPORATED ISLANDS
WITHIN THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE).
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville Planning Commission, on certain
dates reflected on the minutes of said Commission, after due
notice of hearing upon the annexation proposed for the time and
in the manner prescribed by law, recommended the annexation to
the City of Jacksonville of those certain unincorporated lands
hereinafter described and completely surrounded by the present
limits of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
Section 1: That the City of Jacksonville, ArkGnsas, acting
through its City Council, does hereby approve and accept for
annexation and does hereby make a part of the incorporated area
of the City of Jacksonvil1 f Arkansas, the following five tracts
of real property, described as follows; to-wit:
(TRACT 1) That part of the NW~ of the SE~ of Section 36,
T-3-N, R-l1-W that lies North and West of the Missouri & Pacific
Railroad, containing 1.4 acres more or less.
(TRACT 2) That part of the NE~ of Section 35, T-3-N,
R-II-W that lies North and East of the center line of Bayou
Meto, containing 8 acres more or less.
(TRACT 3) A tract of land containing 6 acres, more or
less, located in the SE~ SE~ Section 34, Township 3 North,
Range 11 West, and in the NE~ NE~ of Section 3, Township 2
North, Range 11 West, and being more particularly described
as follows: Commence at the Northeast corner of Section 3,
Township 2 North, Range 11 West-, thence Westwardly 140.4 feet
along said Section line to the point of intersection with the
right of way of U.S. Highway #67; thence Southwesterly along
said right of way a scaled distance of 150 feet to the ?oint
of Beginning; thence Northwest at right angles to aforesaid
right of way 435.6 feet; thence Southwest at right angles to
last described course 600 feet; thence Southeast at right
angles to last described course 435.6 feet to intersection of
aforesaid right of way; thence Northeast 600 feet along afore-
said right of way to the Point of Beginning, in Pulaski County,
Arkansas.
(TRACT 4) Part of the NW~ of the NW~ of Section 28,
T-3-N, R-IO-W being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point that is 440.55 feet South and 330.0 feet
East of the NW corner of said Section 28, T-3~N, R-IO-W, thence,
North 110.55 feet; thence, East 717.75 feet to the point on

Loop Road Centerline of right-of-way map; thence, South 110.55
feet; thence, West 717.55 feet to the point of beginning, con-
taining 1.82 acres more or less.
(TRACT 5) Part of the NW~ of the NW~ of Section 28,
T-3-N, R-IO-W being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point that is 330 feet East of the SW corner of
said NW~ of the NW~ of Section 28, T-3-N, R-10-W; thence, North
653.05 feet; thence East 148.70 feet; thence, South 10 10' East,
653.05 feet to the South line of said NW~ of the NW~; thence,
West along said South line of the NW~ of the NW~, 162 feet to
the point of beginning, containing 2.33 acres more or less.

Section 2: That it is further ordained that the lands in
Tracts 1 through 3 as described above be and they are hereby
assigned and attached to and made a part of the 3rd Ward of
the said City of Jacksonville, Arkansas and zoned A-O; and it
is further ordained that the lands in Tracts 4 and 5 as described
above be and they are hereby assigned and attached to and made
a part of the 2nd Ward of the said City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas and zoned R-O.
Section 3: That this ordinance being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare
and morale of the citizens of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
have full force and effect immediately after its passage.
