ORDINANCE NO.
8 7 4 (#26-87)
AN ORDINANCE WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR BEAVER CONTROL FOR
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, beaver control is important to the well-being of
the citizens of Jacksonville; and,
WHEREAS, not many companies or individuals provide such
services and Mr. Dale Wilson has provided said service in an
exemplary fashion and has given the City the same contract rate
for four years; and,
WHEREAS, no other companies or individuals have shown any
interest in providing said service to the City of Jacksonville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: Competitive bidding for beaver control service
for the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, would be costly and
nonproductive, making said competitive bidding not feasible or
practical.
SECTION 2: Competitive bidding is hereby waived pursuant
to Ark. Stat. Ann. ~19-4425, for beaver control within our commu-
nity and authorization is given for said services to be performed
by Mr. Dale Wilson.
SECTION 3: Any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby specifically repealed to the extent
of such conflict.
SECTION 4: It is declared that an emergency exists and
this Ordinance, being necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public peace, health, and safety, shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
